Our Story
Five people. One pandemic. A very smart sanitiser machine.
In short
Handee started in 2020, when the world stopped moving and hand sanitiser became the most important product on the planet. Five of us, each with a very particular set of skills, got together with an unreasonable idea: build the world's smartest hand sanitiser machine. Not a pump on a stand. A connected device that knew how much was left in the tank, how many people it had served, when it needed a refill and when something was wrong.

So we built it. All of it.
The hardware. The sensors and the firmware. The cloud platform every unit reported into. The web app that showed venues their fleet at a glance. The ordering system that turned a low-level alert into a refill on the way. The delivery management behind it that got sanitiser to the machine before it ran dry.
Hardware, software, data, logistics — end to end, under lockdown, by a team that had never worked together before.
That machine was the birth of Handee IoT.

The sanitiser fleet taught us the thing we still believe today: the value of a connected device isn't the device. It's the loop around it — the data it produces, the decisions that data drives and the actions that follow. Since then we've built that loop at a much larger scale:

Metering, monitoring and control systems across large estates and portfolios, turning consumption data into billing, alerts and savings.

Platforms that manage camera fleets at scale, from health monitoring and uptime to feeds, events and integration with the systems that need to act on them.

Connected parking from sensor to gate to payment, with the occupancy data and operations tooling behind it.
Different industries, same discipline: sensor to cloud to decision to action, built as one system rather than a pile of parts.
The Handee Method
The method that came out of it
The sanitiser machine also taught us something about speed. A small team with the right skills, working in parallel across hardware and software, can ship a complete product in a fraction of the time the industry expects.
We've spent the years since turning that instinct into a method: the same senior engineers, AI-assisted at every step. AI takes the repetitive work, scaffolding, tests, documentation and release checks, while our people design, review and stay accountable for what ships.

The team
The people behind the Handee Method
A small, senior team that builds connected products end to end: industrial design and hardware, firmware, cloud and the apps on top. Our engineers are AI-assisted at every step, and our directors stay close to every project.
Handee is deliberately small and senior. Every project is led by experienced engineers who own the architecture, the hard calls and the conversation with you, with AI taking the repetitive work: scaffolding, tests, documentation and release checks.
That mix is what lets us move at software speed without cutting corners. AI speeds up the repetitive work; our people design, review and stay accountable for what ships. We're a fully remote team, so we build around the right people for the job rather than a single office.
