Bring the wild to a worldwide audience

We build the streaming platforms, apps and communities that turn remote cameras into something people come back to every day, and that help pay for the work.

In short

Remote cameras sit far from the grid on limited bandwidth, and the audience watching them is everywhere. We build the platforms that bring the feeds together, alert viewers the moment something rare appears, turn watching into taking part and help pay for the work, with camera management behind them that watches health and uptime at the sites.

What we build for conservation and media

Remote cameras, an audience around the world and work that needs funding. We build for all of it.

  • 01

Every live stream in one place

Every live camera on one screen, with highlights and recent sightings, on the web and in iOS and Android apps.

  • 02

    Sighting alerts

Viewers are told the moment something rare walks into frame: what was seen, where, and how rare the sighting is.

  • 03

    Viewers take part

Spotting, tagging, points, competitions: ways for the audience to contribute to what the cameras see, in whatever form fits the platform.

  • 04

    A community around the content

Chat, discussion and member recognition built around the streams themselves, so the audience has a reason to stay beyond the footage.

  • 05

    Revenue that funds the work

Memberships, sponsorships and commerce built into the platform, so the audience helps pay for the cameras, the sites and the conservation behind them.

  • 06

    Camera health at remote sites

Remote sites often mean limited bandwidth and no grid power. We build camera management platforms that watch health and uptime, so a dropped feed doesn't go unnoticed.

How it flows

The Handee Method on a live platform

  1. 01

    Discover

We map the cameras and where they are, the audience you want to reach, how people will join in, and how the platform will earn its keep.

  2. 02

    Prototype

In days, a live slice: a real stream in the platform, a first sighting alert and a working screen people can try. Validated against real cameras and real connections, not a slide.

  3. 03

    Build

The full platform, apps and back office, built in short reviewed loops, tested and documented as we go, with every payment built so a retry never charges twice.

  4. 04

    Run

After launch we keep watching platform health and anomalies and ship updates, so the platform stays up when the audience is watching.

Turn your cameras into a community

Turn your cameras into a community

Tell us about your cameras, your audience and how the work is funded. A few lines is enough to start.

  • 01Built for remote sites, limited bandwidth and a live audience
  • 02Streams, alerts, community and payments from one team
  • 03A working prototype before you commit to the full build

What happens next

Questions

Conservation and media questions, answered

What conservation, tourism and media teams usually ask us first.

  • 01Do you install the cameras themselves?

We build the platform around the cameras, and the firmware, connected devices and camera management that watch health and uptime at the sites. In discovery we're clear about what we'd build and where a specialist installer is the better choice for the physical installation.

  • 02What about sites with limited bandwidth and no grid power?

Those are normal conditions for remote cameras, and they shape the design: what's sent, how often, and what happens when a link or a battery drops. We work that through with you in discovery and test it against real hardware in the prototype.

  • 03Can the platform help fund the work?

It can be designed to. Memberships can unlock ads-free streams, alerts and exclusive content, with a shop alongside, as on the new Africam platform. We build payments so a retry never charges twice, and every callback from the payment provider is signature-checked.

  • 04Do you build mobile apps as well as the website?

Yes. We build the web and mobile apps, including iOS and Android apps for alerts, as one system, so accounts, alerts and memberships behave the same everywhere.

  • 05Does this work for a lodge or tourism brand, not just a media platform?

The same building blocks apply: live views, sighting alerts, a community and memberships. What changes is the audience and how the platform earns, and we shape that with you in discovery.
